Biography
Emmanuelle Germain is a visual artist. She studied photography at the Art Institute of Boston in the Bachelor of Fine Arts program in 1991-1996 and at La Cambre School in Brussels, Belgium in 1996-1997. She lives and works in Marseille.
Her field of reflection is rooted in what affects human beings - women in particular - and the body is at the center of her concerns. Her main approach consists of creating staged scenes, most often outdoors. Her work takes the form of analog / digital photographs, installations, videos, and drawings.
Alongside her artistic practice, she carries out commissioned photographic work in still photography, portraits and architecture. She also works as an art educator in schools, universities, and associations.
